Scope of these Terms
These Terms govern registration, authentication and use of a MEO safety account. They cover account and pet profiles, household invitations, permissions, demonstration data and the controls available in the account.
Creating an account does not pair a tracker, generate a live position or prove ownership of an animal. A function that is not available in the account interface is not part of account access.
Eligibility and account integrity
The account creator must be at least 18 and must use an email address they control. Information supplied for the account must be accurate enough to keep access secure and understandable.
Each person uses their own access. Keep one-time codes, passwords, passkeys and active sessions private. If access may be compromised, sign out other sessions and use the available account-security controls without delay.
Household roles and pet profiles
The person who creates the household is its administrator. The administrator can invite or remove members, manage pet profiles and review household access. Only that creator can pair or replace a tracker.
An invited member signs in with a separate account and may use only the functions allowed by their role. Add a pet profile, photograph or other content only when you have authority to do so.
Responsible use
- Use MEO safety for pets under your care, never to follow a person, worker, vehicle or another person's animal without lawful authority.
- Do not bypass access controls, security protections, technical limits or device identity.
- Do not publish live coordinates or give household access to someone who does not need it.
- Do not upload unlawful, harmful, deceptive or rights-infringing content.
Privacy, account controls and changes
Account data is handled as described in the current Privacy Notice. Newsletter participation and optional communications remain separate choices and are off by default.
Each user can use the available controls to review, correct, export or delete their own account data. Access may be restricted when reasonably necessary to protect an account, investigate misuse or comply with law.
A material change to these Terms requires a new version. MEO safety will request a fresh acceptance when it is needed. Belgian law applies while mandatory protections linked to the user's habitual residence remain intact.
