Example: Oscar at home
Tracker service pendingA practical family manual for the moment you need it, available in eighteen languages.
From the first sign-in to pairing, household invitations, photos, maps, safe zones and alerts.
Four everyday answers, without a cluttered dashboard.
See the tracker’s last trusted position, its timestamp and accuracy on one Benelux map.
With active tracker service, know when a pet enters or leaves a safe zone, when the battery is low or when a tracker goes offline.
Switch between Oscar and Luna, then add pets and supported devices without creating another account.
Invite trusted family members to the household view. The household creator can revoke their access at any time.
When tracker service is active, a veterinarian or reseller can assist with first activation. Only the signed-in household creator can authorise pairing or replacement.
The household creator opens the pet profile on the computer. A veterinarian or reseller can assist, and a clear photo makes the pet easy to recognise.
While the creator remains signed in, tap Scan QR code and scan the code printed inside the MEO safety box.
The scan updates the pet record. The computer shows a large check and the tracker status without a manual refresh.
The household creator can open the same pet profile and choose Replace tracker. The previous tracker remains in the archived history.
The creator’s signed-in pet record stays open on the computer while the smartphone scans the MEO safety tracker, with help from a veterinarian or reseller when useful.
✓When the service is active and the check appears, the activation time and who completed it are saved on the pet profile.
The setup screen distinguishes “waiting for location”, “waiting for connection”, “code not recognised” and “already paired”. Your progress stays saved, and support sees only the setup details you choose to share.
Three clear signals tell you that everything is ready and when action is useful.
Scan the QR code inside the box once. A clear confirmation tells you when the tracker is linked to the right pet.
See the latest update, connection and battery in one place. If the tracker is unavailable, MEO safety shows the last known location and time.
MEO safety tells you what changed and what to do next, without exposing raw device readings.
A future MEO safety Assistant is planned to give a clear, privacy-safe answer without exposing sensitive details.
Choose the right topic first. Then open only the answer you need.
MEO safety combines a dog-and-cat tracker, built-in mobile connectivity and a secure platform. Your account shows the last reliable location, safe zones, alerts, battery level and location history.
A pet can leave its usual area within moments. MEO safety provides independent satellite and mobile-network positioning without relying on unknown nearby phones.
MEO helps you act on clear information: last reliable location, update time, connection status and zone alerts. No tracker removes every risk, but these facts prevent a blind search.
The interface uses plain words, large controls, a readability mode, day/night contrast and guided journeys. An authorised relative can also help through their own access.
An AirTag mainly relies on nearby Apple devices. The MEO tracker calculates its location by GNSS and sends it through its own mobile connection, which is better suited to a moving pet.
No. Satellite reception, mobile coverage, battery and surroundings affect every location system. MEO always shows the age and quality of the latest position and never presents old data as live.
MEO Tracker Pet V1 calculates its location with GNSS satellites, then sends it through LTE-M or NB-IoT according to the available network. Your account displays the last reliable location and useful events.
You define an area around home or another place. When a new reliable position is outside it, MEO sends an alert. Timing depends on the tracking interval and network availability.
GNSS is most accurate outdoors with a clear view of the sky. Buildings, dense vegetation and indoor spaces can reduce accuracy. MEO then shows the last reliable position and its time.
MEO safety currently guarantees its location service in 23 countries. Check the Coverage page before travelling for the current list and local mobile-network limitations.
During normal tracking, dogs update every 3 minutes and cats every 5 minutes when the network is available. Lost mode searches more frequently and uses more battery.
Battery life can reach seven days. It varies with pet activity, signal quality, temperature, location frequency and lost-mode use. The battery level remains visible in the platform.
Place the supplied magnetic pogo-pin cable on the tracker contacts. The app displays the battery level so you can charge it before an outing.
MEO Tracker Pet V1 weighs approximately 35–40 g. It is designed for adult dogs and cats; always check that the collar and tracker weight suit your pet’s size and comfort.
Yes. The flexible attachment is supplied with the tracker and holds it along the collar so it does not hang beneath the pet’s neck.
The tracker is designed for rain, splashes and everyday incidents covered by its IP67 rating. It is not intended for diving, prolonged immersion, salt water or high-pressure jets.
MEO uses its built-in mobile connection and avoids a second Bluetooth pairing. Setup stays simpler, but there is no short-range Bluetooth search when both satellite and mobile networks are unavailable.
Yes, an eSIM is built in, so no phone card is needed. Standard costs €62.70 per year and Premium €106.70 per year, covering mobile data, the platform, maps, alerts and support.
Create your pet’s profile, then scan the QR code in the box. The guided journey links the tracker, pet and chosen service with a clear confirmation at each step.
The MEO safety platform works on mobile, tablet and desktop. Road and satellite maps, safe zones, alerts, battery, history and family sharing are available in 18 languages.
Access is limited to the account holder and people they authorise. MEO applies data minimisation, secure sessions and GDPR rights. Individual location histories are not sold for advertising.
No. MEO Tracker Pet V1 is made for pets and has neither microphone nor camera. It must never be used to secretly track a person, employee, vehicle or somebody else’s pet.
No. MEO is a safety and location service. Activity data may help describe habits, but it cannot diagnose illness and never replaces a veterinarian.
Verified markings, applicable compliance, battery warnings and usage limits appear on the product, its packaging and supplied documentation. A regulated characteristic is claimed only when documented.
Yes. The product, platform, experience and architecture are designed and managed in Belgium. Components and specialist manufacturing come from qualified partners selected for their expertise.
MEO prioritises low consumption, recyclable packaging, needs-based production and responsible end-of-life collection of equipment and batteries. Follow local recycling instructions.
The tracker costs €99 as a one-off purchase. From the Pricing page, add the required quantity to the basket, choose Standard or Premium, and pay securely with Mollie.
Before payment, the order shows the address, costs and delivery timing available for your market. On arrival, charge the tracker, create the pet profile and scan the box QR code.
The help centre, manuals in 18 languages and Contact form are always available. Applicable legal warranties, returns and account-security controls are accessible through the legal centre and Settings.
MEO safety is led by Gilles Capelluto with Eddy Chahed, Jean-Cédric Bienfait and Bipin Fultariya. The team combines product design, software, electronics and industrialisation around one priority: finding a pet without unnecessary complexity.
Place it on top of the neck, never under the throat. A harness also works: attach the tracker securely on top and away from the head.
It should stay in place without tightening, rubbing or restricting movement or sleep. Face it outwards with the logo visible and check the attachment regularly.
MEO updates every 3 minutes for dogs and every 5 minutes for cats. Charge before a long outing and avoid leaving the tracker unnecessarily where there is no mobile signal.
MEO uses modern mobile networks and transmits briefly when the service needs it, not continuously. Fitting it on the neck or top of a harness also keeps it farther from the head. Remove it for bathing or when it is not needed.
No cause-and-effect link has been established. Hyperthyroidism is common in older cats and its exact causes remain unknown. A diagnosis in a cat that wears a tracker therefore does not prove that the tracker caused it. For comfort, place MEO on top of the neck or harness, never under the throat, and ask your vet about weight loss, unusual appetite or behaviour changes.
Yes, provided you have a MEO account, can access the QR code in the box and the tracker has not already been assigned to another animal.
