Installing a camera at home means entrusting images of your private life to a connected device. Before you buy, a few questions beat regret. Here is our checklist, and our stance.

Where do your images go?

The first question is hosting. Data that transits through servers outside Europe falls outside the GDPR framework. At MEO Safety, we favour European hosting and full transparency about where data travels.

Private mode and data protection
A physical private mode: the camera you can truly switch off.

Can you switch the camera off?

This is the great advantage of a mobile robot: it returns to its base and stops filming. Look for a clear private mode, activated with one gesture. A camera you can't turn off is a camera that films everything, all the time.

Encryption and access

Your streams should be encrypted, your account protected by a strong password and, ideally, two-factor authentication. Check who can access the images and how to revoke an access.

The right to be forgotten

The GDPR gives you the right to view, export and delete your data. A serious seller explains how to exercise those rights - not in fine print, but clearly.

Our commitment

MEO Safety was designed for the European market: EU hosting, minimised data, explicit consent and accessible legal documents. Because a robot that watches over your home should never watch against you. See our legal notice.
